Tribal Survivor 2: Spirit Island General Forum
Welcome fans and interested applicants to the general forum of this season of Tribal Survivor! Here you may talk about anything related to Tribal Survivor or real-life Survivor. The general forum will be used mainly for rules and just for fun conversation about the previous season of Tribal Survivor. Please do not advertise your games in this forum. About Tribal Survivor
Tribal Survivor is an online reality game series (or ORG for short) that started early 2014. The first season was hosted on Facebook and featured 16 castaways. Tribal Survivor's main format consist of special public idols called "Tribal Idols". The number of idols vary depending upon how many total castaways there are. During the "tribal" stage of the game, a Tribal Idol is picked by the winning tribe of an immunity challenge. Half of the idols have no special power or twist. The other half of the idols has a specific power or twist that comes into play immediately.
The tribal idol twists can consist of many different things. Last season the idol twists were; mutiny option, temporary merged vote, and kidnap one tribe member. This season there will be whole new twists, and due to the fact the idols are chosen by the cast, the twist can happen at any time.
Effort Points
Another part of this series are what are known as effort points. Castaways earn effort points based on the quality/quantity of the confessionals, and convos submitted. The confessionals and conversations are kept confidential until the whole game is over and then episodes are "aired" for other people to enjoy. Episodes from our previous season can be viewed here.
During the tribal stage of the game there is one effort points challenge that players can wager their points to help their tribe win immunity. A source of controversy from last season, the effort points challenge for this season has been revamped.
During the individual stage (or merged stage) of the game, there will be a Survivor Auction. During the Survivor auction players can bid on items or boosts to help them in the game.
Tribe Chief
The tribe chief of a tribe is the temporary "leader" for his or her tribe. They are the person that decides who sits out, what roles each castaway of their tribe takes during challenges, as well as may have different duties during challenges. Last season the tribe chiefs were not as a focal part of the season as we plan on making them this season. Tribe chiefs will still have the option to take individual immunity should their tribe lose the challenge in lieu of giving the whole tribe effort points. However effort points are all given individually this time.
Spirit Island Format
This season players that have been voted out will get to still have an impact on how this game is played even after they are voted out. THERE WILL BE NO REDEMPTION ISLAND OR BRINGING BACK PLAYERS INTO THE GAME AFTER THEY ARE VOTED OUT. However they still will have a chance to get their revenge and even help another fellow player out when the time calls for it. More details on this format will be revealed to the castaway, once the game gets underway.
